“Dunki” is a funny and touching film about the “donkey flight,” an illegal way of immigration. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani and featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani, the movie tells the story of four friends from a Punjab village dreaming of reaching London. Hardy, a former army officer indebted to Mahinder, Manu’s brother, helps them in their quest.

During their journey, the friends face challenges like corrupt agents, tough smugglers, unfriendly locals, and harsh weather. Along the way, they form bonds, experience love, and feel nostalgic about their homeland.

The film takes an unexpected turn as it reveals that Manu is terminally ill and wishes to see Hardy one last time before her death. Running away from a London hospital, she encounters Puru, an immigration lawyer, who helps her reach out to Hardy. Unaware of Manu’s condition, Hardy agrees to meet her in Dubai and bring her back to India through the Dunki route.

This heartwarming tale explores the highs and lows of the friends’ journey and the unexpected twist that adds a poignant touch to the story. “Dunki” beautifully captures the spirit of friendship, love, and the lengths people go for their dreams.
