Houseflies are bugs that can make people and animals sick by spreading diseases. They do this when they land on or make dirty things like food, water, and surfaces. Some of the sicknesses they can spread are cholera, salmonella, typhoid fever, dysentery, anthrax, leprosy, and tularemia. Houseflies also do yucky things like eating poop, and they can be a danger to our health.
